Manual cleaning methods are typically used for smaller-scale PCBA cleaning tasks. During manual cleaning, specific tools and materials are required, such as soft brushes, hot water, alcohol, or detergents. Care must be taken not to wet the electronic components and solder joints of the circuit board during the cleaning process, and efforts should be made to prevent water, alcohol, or detergents from infiltrating the interior of the PCB. Additionally, thorough drying is necessary after cleaning to ensure that all residues are completely removed from the PCBA, thereby avoiding damage to the circuit board and electronic components.
The choice of PCBA cleaning method depends on the degree of contamination in the work environment and the structure of the PCBA. For less severe contamination and situations where only a few PCBAs need to be cleaned, manual cleaning methods are suitable. However, for PCBAs with complex structures where manual cleaning is challenging, the use of specialized PCBA cleaning machines is more appropriate. For PCBAs with high-density interconnect (HDI) boards or complex structures containing high-precision components, chemical cleaning methods are the best choice as they effectively remove harmful contaminants and defects.
