The classification of cleaning agents for steel mesh cleaning machines includes various types, broadly categorized into inorganic cleaning agents and organic cleaning agents. Generally, they are divided into water-based cleaning agents, semi-water-based cleaning agents, and solvent-based cleaning agents.
- Water-Based Cleaning Agents: Water-based cleaning agents utilize functions such as wetting, emulsification, penetration, dispersion, and capacity expansion, achieved through the presence of surfactants, emulsifiers, penetrating agents, etc., to clean oil stains and grease. The main component of water-based cleaning agents is water, offering advantages such as environmental friendliness, non-toxicity, and high safety performance. However, rinsing and drying are required after cleaning.
- Semi-Water-Based Cleaning Agents: Semi-water-based cleaning agents, also known as quasi-water-based cleaning agents, are composed of high-boiling-point solvents and surfactants, such as alcohols and organic hydrocarbons. Their cleaning principle is stripping rather than dissolution. Semi-water-based cleaning agents generally have excellent cleaning efficacy but come with higher operating costs. The wastewater cannot be recycled, and it contains a high level of COD (chemical oxygen demand), requiring proper wastewater treatment.
- Solvent-Based Cleaning Agents: Solvent-based cleaning agents refer to organic solvents that are insoluble in water. They work by dissolving oil stains to achieve the cleaning purpose. Due to the volatility of solvents, there is no need for drying the cleaned products. Solvent-based cleaning agents have lower operating costs, but they also come with disadvantages such as easy volatility, lack of safety, and strong odor.
